Acting Head of Education (CIID 2020)
Launching a master’s level Interaction Design Programme in its first year in Costa Rica in 2020. I led a small team and we restructured and executed on continuing the hands-on studio-based education for a completely digital context because of COVID-19. I worked closely with all faculty to re-shape project briefs and worked with 26 fantastic international interaction design students as we navigated together totally unknown territories.
Designing the Future of Work (TechFest Copenhagen 2019)
An interactive workshop exploring the future of work through rapid ideation, prototyping and bodystorming. Co-designed with my colleague Can Yanardag.
People Centered Research (CIID Faculty 2019)
Teaching the fundamentals of design research, and working closely with a local organization to provide participants with hands-on immersive training with research and concept development using mixed research methodologies.
Team Building (CIID Faculty 2020)
Teaching essential techniques for effective teamwork for interaction designers, including methods to improve communication, evaluate and decide on ideas, understand how to handle conflict and execute on a concept. Co-designed with my colleague John Lynch.
Design Methods for Humanitarian Data (UN-OCHA Bootcamp Facilitator 2019)
Delivering a 4-day bootcamp program for select Data Fellows at UN-OCHA Center for Humanitarian Data to equip data specialists with problem framing tools, strategic design research skills, and rapid prototyping techniques. The purpose of this was to help them deliver projects which utilize data in informed ways within the global humanitarian sector. Co-designed with my colleague Adam Little.
