IXDA_Azad_About.png

As a designer, I like to investigate the root cause of things to understand why things are the way they are. I believe creativity is a collaborative effort and I thrive in environments where diverse perspectives and approaches are encouraged.

I have a hunger for working with emerging technologies to influence positive systemic changes and tackling complex challenges. Being a third-culture kid and having spent time working and living in Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, North America, and Central America, I bring a global perspective to the table. I’m currently based in Copenhagen, though I continue to consider New York City home.

Before transitioning into my design career, I worked as a teacher in Palestine and afterwards worked as a crisis-responder for victims of human trafficking in Washington, DC. These experiences taught me how to recognize and address systemic inequities while also paying attention to individual user needs in a compassionate manner.

Open to projects and collaborations; feel free to get in touch.
